International Sherlockian Summit this weekend!

International Sherlockian Summit this weekend!

I’m headed up to Mt. Vernon, WA, this weekend for the International Sherlockian Summit, hosted by the Sound of the Baskervilles! I’m taking the train Friday and staying through till Sunday, because, as with all good American train journeys, there’s only one train a day. I’m going to be speaking on the topic of Holmes’s retirement and his beekeeping years, an abbreviated version of the talk I gave at 221B Con back in April. Bees!

There is still time to decide to drop everything and come; there is no cost to attend the Summit, save for the lunch you buy at the restaurant. There will be lots of other fun things happening on Saturday, including quizzes, raffles, skits, and games. The SOBs know how to put on a good time, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Plus, it’s the start of NaNoWriMo, so I’m planning on spending the rest of the solo weekend and those two five-hour train trips writing. PLANNING on it.
